Project Background:

The customer uses robots to replace manual final tightening operations, improving fastening consistency and product reliability. The motor bolts are located on curved surfaces, and their rotational angles vary after pre-tightening. In addition, AGVs introduce slight docking deviations when delivering engines to the robotic tightening station. A 3D vision system is therefore required to detect the bolt poses and guide the robot for accurate final tightening.

3D Vision Solution:

The ALSONTECH 3D vision system accurately detects the 3D pose of bolts before final tightening and guides the robot to complete the tightening operation.

- Captures 3D poses of bolts at different positions on curved surfaces and compensates for AGV docking deviations, supporting millimeter-level overall tightening accuracy. - Binocular structured-light 3D camera provides high positioning accuracy, robust algorithms, and stable continuous operation. - After a single scan, the system sends tightening coordinates for all bolts within the field of view, meeting high-throughput production requirements. - Supports multiple engine and motor types, enabling fast changeovers and new model introduction. Routine maintenance only; system service life ≥5 years.

Customer Benefits:

- Robot-assisted final tightening ensures standardized operation and controllable tightening quality through data-based verification. - Supports different engine specifications on the same workstation without additional hardware.
